This commission for a set of three vases and three candle holders was inspired by the love that the commissioner’s have for their three sons to whom these pieces will be passed onto as an inheritance one day.

I have collectively called these pieces “A Quiver Full” inspired by Psalm 127 which talks about the blessings of having children.

It is always very special to me when the brief comes from the desire of the commissioner to communicate love to someone and in this case the love of the parents for their children.

Fashioned from a flat sheet of silver, each vase is designed to represent the commissioner’s three sons each being both unique and of the same genus. The vases are designed at varying heights, widths and all leaning at different angles and directions

The surface has a finely hand textured finish, which causes it to come alive as the light dances and reflects from its surface.

The three vases are accompanied by three candle holders which are shaped in a flame like form. They have been hand pierced, chased and formed from sheets of silver to create a three tier structure captured in a wave like movement.
