This piece was made for a summer exhibition and I took my inspiration from the English tradition of strawberries and cream served during Wimbledon.

With this piece I wanted to develop the possibilities of the square to circle design that I had used for my previous commission but instead I made this piece using a square onto square design.

The starting point was a single sheet of fine silver, which was hand raised into a three dimensional form using heat, hammers and steel stakes. The surface has a finely hand planished finish, which causes it to come alive as the light dances and reflects from its surface.
